Captain Eric Lundquist was born mid-boating season 1975 in Door County.  He spent his entire life on the Door peninsula and plans to remain here, raising his family along with his wife Aneta. Eric’s parents have owned a boat dealership in Sister Bay since 1972. Eric started working at 12 years of age in the family business. You could say boating was in his blood. His humble beginnings in the boating business included everything from washing boats to mowing lawns and picking up the yard. From then on Eric spent every summer from 1988 thru 1999 gaining firsthand knowledge of operating a recreational boating business. As he got a bit older he began replacing engines and installing electronics. He also learned how to do fiberglass body work and winterize boats.

Of all the tasks there were around the boatyard, Eric began to find great satisfaction in teaching new boaters how to operate and enjoy recreational watercraft.

In 2000, armed with a business management degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Eric started working full-time as service manager at the family dealership. He spent the next decade working with customers on everything to do with their service, storage and sale of their boats. This included delivering the sold boats to new customers and teaching them how to drive and use all the features of their new boats. Eric has a master's captain license and has a great deal of maritime experience on the Great Lakes. In 2009, Eric started Sister Bay Boat Rental, getting people on boats to enjoy the water of DC without the hassles and expenses of owning their own boats. SBBR is proud to offer the best rental fleet in Door County by adding new boats to the fleet every year and maintaining the fleet at the highest standard.
